Tyler had just been looking up at the sky in Vetra, when all of a sudden, he could feel his mind lurching out of the game. He shook his head, he hadn't lifted the helmet off himself, no, someone else had. "Tyler, get off of that forsaken game and spend some time with you family!" Someone shouted at him.
Tyler turned his head in the direction of the yelling to see his mother standing there holding the helmet. "No...... I don't feel like it." He said, still a bit dazed.
"We have guests over, come downstairs now and spend time with them!" His mother yelled out.
"Guests? You never told me people were coming over...?" He replied calmly. "Well... that is just another reason not to come downstairs."
"What do you mean by that!? Look, you spend everyday, day and night on that game. You never spend time with any real people! I mean, you have a girlfriend that you never spend time with, yet she doesn't break up with you... god knows why." His mother exclaimed.
"Calm down, and get a freakin life, I don't like being around real people. Frankly they annoy me. Always complaining about me smoking, telling me to quit and stuff. Also, my 'girlfriend' as you put it, I don't really even like her. She's a B****, and no matter how many times you force me to go out with her, I'll never like her." Tyler yelled at his mom.
Mrs. Kross was surprised by her sons outburst. "There won't be any of that kind of language in this house! Plus, that B-word as you put her is down stairs right now!" She yelled back. Just as she was going to continue her yelling, she smelt cigerette smoke in the air. Looking at his desk, she saw a pack of cigerettes. "Another thing! You told me you quit smoking, and you know the rule, No Smoking In The House! As long as you live in this household, you must abide by the family rules."
Tyler just laughed under his breath quietly, then sighed. "I could care less about the family rules, I didn't tell you this... but I'm moving in a couple of weeks. So I could care less about the household rules. And before you say 'How'd you get the money', I also didn't tell you I won the lottery... you know the jackpot, ten point four million dollars. I 'told' the news people to keep it a secret for a month. So, when they finally let it out... people will be coming to your door for the money and not mine." He said calmly. "Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to my game."
Finally his mom left... sighing, Tyler put back on the helmet and felt his mind once again leaving his body and re-entering the World of Vetra...
About finteen minutes later, Tyler pulled the helmet off his head and turned off the system. After taking off the rest of the equipment, the nineteen year old grabbed the pack of cigurettes and started to head downstairs. Oh yeah.... they're probably still down there.... He thought. Not wanting to get into another fight with his mom, Tyler turned back around and went back to his room.
Upon reaching it, Tyler noticed his clock that sat on his bedside table. Wow, it's 11:14. No wonder she had to go.... especially if she still goes to school....... or maybe she has work or something tomorrow.... whatever. Well, I might as well sneak out the window, go for a walk, have a smoke..... He thought as he walked toward the window. After opening it, the brown headed teen pulled out the sceen and easily climbed into the tree located directly beside the window. Soon he was on the ground and walking down the street away from his house.
