Items and armor can be found throughout various places. This includes towns, dungeons, defeated monsters, and others.
Items Most items are only one-time use items. Once it is used the item disappears from your inventory. (An admin or something like that will take off the item in your profile.) They can be used in or outside of battle. Basically, food restores HP, drinks restore MP, and some other items may restore certain status.
Armor Depending on what kind it is, armor can increase defense or resistance. (There is some special armor that increases tolerance but it is rare.) Some armor is more effective than others. To signify that your armor is equiped, put an (E) next to the peice of armor in your item list. You can only have ONE peice of armor equiped at a time. So if you had 2 herbs and a Cloth Tunic it should read like this:
Items: 2 herbs, (E) Cloth Tunic (1, 0)
What's the 1 and 0 next to the Cloth Tunic? The 1 represents defence power, the 0 represents resistance. So if your character had 9 defence points, when he/she was attacked you would have a deffence of 10 instead.
~Hopefully that explains most of it. Rare items and armor are worth it and can make huge difference in battle!
